Barnard's residence halls close for 寒假 at 9am on Friday, December 22, 2024，并于 9am on Saturday, 1月13日, 2024.
Fall 24-hour Exam Quiet Hours: 8pm Monday, December 11, through 5pm Thursday, December 21, 2023.
学生 who need to be in campus housing during 寒假 must sign up for 寒假住房 or 初冬返程 on the 房地产门户网站 (见下文).
学生继续在 相同 从秋天到春天的房间(1).e. did 不 receive a mid-year room change) may leave belongings in their room over the break.
During the break, the College will check rooms to address maintenance issues & 请求. Any prohibited items will be confiscated. Any windows stoppers or fire safety equipment that have been tampered with will result in fines & 纪律处分.
Before You Leave for 寒假
- 清空所有垃圾桶. Take bagged trash and recycling to the designated area in your building.
- Make sure all faucets, ovens, stoves, and appliances are turned off.
- Clean fridges of food that may spoil over break. Throw out any open food that may attract mice or bugs. Wash any dirty dishes, pots, etc.
- Unplug, defrost, and leave the door open to mini fridges only.
- Please leave suite kitchen refrigerators plugged in and closed.
- Unplug all appliances (alarm clocks, lamps, TVs, computers, etc.)省电. These items can use a lot of energy if left plugged in (even when turned off!).
- 110圣. & 121圣. 居民 should leave their FIOS router equipment plugged in.
- Take any valuables or necessities with you (computer, jewelry, passport, medications, etc.). The residence halls will be closed & locked over break so you won't be able to retrieve anything you leave behind.
- Turn off lights and lock all door & windows (and lower blinds to conserve heat).
学生 不 returning to housing or completing 年中换房s
学生 who will be 不 be returning to their Fall room for the Spring semester (graduating mid-year, 出国留学, 正在休假, 移动校外, 或者完成 年中换房) must completely vacate their rooms and check out no later than 9am on Friday, December 22, 2023. 扩展是 不 可用.
In order to avoid improper check-out and key replacement fees, students must complete a check-out envelope (可用 from their residence hall Front Desk) to turn in their room keys and complete the "Confirm Check Out" form on the 房地产门户网站 (退房信息).
初冬返程 (before 1月13日, 2024)
学生可以报名参加 初冬返程 to return to campus housing starting Sunday, 1月7日, 2024 (prior to the res halls reopening for the Spring on Saturday, 1月13日, 2024).
报名截止日期是 4pm on 2023年12月15日，星期五 (申请表 & 更多的信息).
寒假住房
学生 with individual extenuating circumstances who need to stay on campus for the 寒假 period must sign up on the 房地产门户网站 by 4pm Friday, December 1, 2023.
